Hello, I’m a new member of The Bankers Club group. I’ve recently been trying to set up Sierra Chart on my iMac using Codeweaver. When I load the Bankers Club Chartbook Sierra opens all the charts relating to the chartbook, and then proceeds to download the data. Even when all the data has finished downloading, the software seems glitchy and finally just freezes. My iMac is 3.6GHz quad core i7 with 32GB RAM running Ventura 13.7.1. I have also tried using Sierra on a PC laptop, but it crashes when the Bankers Club Chartbook is opened. This is a Dell Core i5 7th Gen machine, a few years old now. Am I doing something wrong, or are my computers just not powerful enough to run the software? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Andy |

It seems like a Chartbook issue, I think it might be helpful if you could upload the Chartbook, so others can take a close look. Doesn't seem like a Codeweaver issue either as title implies, btw if you have i7, Linux is definitely way better than Codeweaver. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-12-09 17:01:25

Thanks for your reply. I'll bear Linux in mind, and may try it on the windows PC. I've attached the chartbook here as suggested, so that someone can take a look at it and advise. Thank you for your assistance. |

Hello, I've installed Sierra Charts on a PC running Linux as suggested. It all seems to work well....except: I cannot load a Bankers Club chartbook that I have saved into the correct Data folder (I had success doing this on other platforms). None of the 3 chartbooks are visible to Sierra even though they are definitely there in the Finder. Also, I have created a new test chartbook and saved it in Sierra, and I can't see this chartbook in the Finder even though it's there in Sierra when I relaunch the application. Have you come across this problem before? Many thanks |

Andy, one of the possibilities is that you need change the installation directory from "Z:\SierraChart" to "C:\SierraChart", Sierra Chart set the Data folder location as "C:\SierraChart\Data" Or, you could manually install Sierra by creating a folder under "~/.wine/drive_c/SierraChart, and download and extract .zip file, https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SCZipInstallerList.php btw, I tried your chart book, I was able to open it, but not able to test it further, coz I only have package 10 and not subscribe to Gold data. Hi Tony, Thanks for your message. I did install Sierra on the C drive, initially Wine set it to install on the Z but it didn't work so I changed it to the C drive. Any other ideas? |

Hi Tony, Update: I discovered that the 'missing' Sierra chartbooks needed to be copied to Wine's virtual C drive data folder within Sierra Charts, as my wine config isn't fully mapping to the windows C drive. So all seems to be working fine now. Thanks for your help with this... Andy |
