I am trying to place a buy or sell stop at cursor with the keyboard shortcut but I only see the option to place a limit order. Is there a way to do this?

Stop orders are supported. This is configured through the keyboard shortcuts:
Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Trading Keyboard Shortcuts

Trading Keyboard Shortcuts section.

Buy/Sell Stop at Pointer Price

To access this functionality you must update Sierra Chart to the current version. Instructions:

I am not sure if I am missing something but I need a BUY and SELL stop in the shortcuts. I see buy limit and sell limit but not a buy stop/ sell stop. See attached for what I see in the shortcut menu. I have also attached what I use now in my right-click short cut menu that I am trying to get into the keyboard shortcuts.

Now you want to submit a buy or sell stop order by a keyboard shortcut? At the current price level you are pointing at in the chart?

This is supported, but only in newer versions of Sierra Chart.

In the "Keyboard Shortcuts" window under the "Trading Keyboard Shortcuts" are options for "Buy Stop at Current Pointer Price" and "Sell Stop at Current Pointer Price".

With regards to Keyboard shortcuts for trading. After reading the instructions and documentation I don't see this function as an option (Please Confirm)

I would like to make Ctrl+1 to be used to buy 1 contract at market and Crtl+2 to buy 2 contracts etc and then Alt+1 to sell 1 contract at market.

It appears the only function to do this would be 2 separate keystroke shortcuts where you change size with one shortcut and then another keystroke to make buy or sell.

Am I missing something?

Thanks

Doug

You are not missing something. You are correct that if you want a specific quantity, then you need to change the quantity first and then enter the order. There is no direct support for a keyboard shortcut that contains a quantity and an order.

You could create a custom study that would do what you are wanting. Refer to the following:
Advanced Custom Study Interaction With Menus, Control Bar Buttons, Pointer Events
