The above study returns the following results when using it on a Monday Reference n periods back 1 = Friday's POC Reference n periods back 2 = Friday's POC Reference n periods back 3 = Friday's POC. On a Tuesday Reference n periods back 1 = Monday's POC Reference n periods back 2 = Friday's POC Reference n periods back 3 = Friday's POC On a Wednesday Reference n periods back 1 = Tuesday POC Reference n periods back 2 = Mondays POC Reference n periods back 3 = Friday's POC The results for Thursday and Friday are also correct. I also use Daily OHLC (Reference Days Back 1, 2 and 3) which gives the correct results no matter what day of the week it is. My chart setup is as follows Session Times - Weekend Data - Do not load weekend data Please advise. |

We had a look at this. Volume Value Area Lines is not designed to skip over days when there is insufficient data. So referencing periods back is not always going to work as you would want. Use the Volume by Price study instead: Volume By Price Study: Calculating and Displaying Developing Point of Control, Value Area High/Low, Volume Weighted Average Price Lines Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
