Hi, Message log was sent privately. I also sent you guys a video where the time seems to not be updating rhythmically. Whatever the discrepancy is on the time, is roughly how I feel like the chart is lagging. The data is coming in as bursts, if that makes sense. I've tried turning off antivirus/firewall (and 90% of the relevant stuff I've seen on the on High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often: 30.48 - Basic Steps to Resolve Performance Issue in Sierra Chart). I've also only got 1 instance running, no other charts up. Thanks in advance. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-10-28 20:35:35

https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1730148538255.png Notice the gaps in the cumulative delta as well. It seems like my chart is not retrieving data quick enough. [AMD Ryzen 1600, GTX 1080, 200mbps up/down but on wifi not ethernet]. Sierra works great in general except when it comes to the footprint timeframe basically (100volume and below), and this is what I'm trying to troubleshoot. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-10-28 20:55:00

Regarding post #2, it is not possible for there to ever be a condition, where a chart is going to be missing data due to processing load. That is just impossible.

Uploaded two 30 second clips. One Live and one Replay. The problem with troubleshooting is that I don't know what peak Sierra performance should look like. - Would replay show me what it's "supposed" to look like? And would you say the live one I uploaded is excellent or is this laggy/buffering in your opinion? I've set remote buffering to 100ms as that seemed to work the best. 100ms chart interval update. What you need to keep in mind is that the charts are not going to update unless there is a trade occurring for that instrument. We are not sure what the time zone of your chart is, so we can not speak to whether what you are seeing is normal or not. It does not look wrong at all, is all we can really say. The information for how to improve performance is all at the following link: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

I've sent it to other traders and they're saying they think it looks a bit laggy. I've tried all the steps in that link unfortunately. 500mbps line with ethernet tested. I suppose that final push to finally get rid of the lag probably needs to be a better PC. As noted I've got a GTX1080 abd AMD 1600 cpu, but I suspect the issue might be because of the read/write speeds on my SSD (Crucial Mx200 250 GB = 500 MB/s). Newer ones are pushing 7,500 MB/s so my current one is clearly behind in terms of capabilities, even though it's technically an SSD. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-10-29 22:23:22
