Hi - I've had this issue for awhile, but when I click from tab to tab (chart to chart), many of my charts will scroll to the left, hiding the recent bars. I will scroll it all the way back to see the recent action, but if I switch away and come back, often that chart has again scrolled left. When I scroll back to the right, bars are cut off at what appears to be an invisible, vertical line and therefore do not extend to the right of the chart. Then once I go all the way right, the chart is working correctly again. This has been going on for months and nothing I do seems to work. It's driving me crazy. In image 1, you can see where the bars are not to the right. In image 2, you can see that once I've scrolled all the way right, the bars extend to the right. All I want is for every chart to stay exactly where it is, no matter if I switch away to a different chart or not. |

The invisible barrier you are referring to will occur when you have had "Lock Fill Space" enabled. The particular workflow you are mentioning, where you are not seeing all bars, and then scroll all the way to be able to view all bars and then be able to scroll to the right again, will occur when the bars were not all visible, and then you turn off Lock Fill Space. Is this, by any chance, the situation that is occurring? In general, when you move from chart to chart, the chart is going to be in the location where you last had it. One of the things we personally see, is that when using the scroll wheel on the mouse, if the pointer is over a chart (even though the window is not active) the chart will scroll. We wonder if this may be what is occurring to you. Note that this is a Windows OS thing, not a specific Sierra Chart thing. I haven't ever touched the Lock Fill Space setting and just checked and it's not enabled on any of the charts. I installed another installation of SC not long ago for a TopStep eval and it didn't have that issue there, so that makes me think it's something to do with the settings. Similarly, it doesn't happen on my sub-instance.

Another way this can occur is if you hold down the "Ctrl" key while scrolling. This creates a temporary "lock fill space" that will act in the exact same way as what we described above. Although it would be odd, make sure you do not have a custom study that is doing something with the Ctrl key. I don't ever hold down Ctrl, and I only have one custom study on but it's a new one and this issue well pre-dates that study. Here's a new example: At this moment, I have 6 charts open within a chart book and SC is open but on the right side of my wide screen monitor. Of these 6 charts, 5 of them are in the same place I left them and NQ has just randomly scrolled (see bottom of image, red circle) |

When you have this occur, do not touch change anything in the chart. Immediately save the Chartbook and then attach that chartbook file to this thread by following these instructions: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#AttachFile Also let us know what chart number showed the issue. The good news is that we are able to see this occurring on the NQ chart, and you do not have the "Lock Fill Space" enabled. We will take a look at this, but it may take a few days.

This morning, all my charts were scrolled all the way left. A lot of times, I'm glancing at a chart without even realizing where price really is, which affects my trading.
