Lets say i use market order to enter, in IB i can choose IB algo method which they claim to get a potentially better price. I can turn this on and off in IB My question is when using sierra to make a market order, which type of market order is used? |

From the Sierra Chart perspective, it is just a Market order, meaning fill the order at the current market price. We have absolutely no idea what Interactive Brokers is doing or how they handle the interpretation of a Sierra Chart Market Order into what they are doing. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Just think about some other questions: 1. if IB disconnects while i have open positions, can sierra auto reconnect and recognize all positions and working orders 2. how to mannully add a stop if i opened position with no bracket orders |

1. The system does try to do this, but Interactive Brokers has been known to not send the updated information. You just have to be careful about this and pay attention when you reconnect. 2. Use the "Send Attached Orders by Price/Position" order type. Refer to the following: Order Types: Send Attached Orders - Position/Price For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
