Hi, I'm trying to SEE only significant things happening on as few of charts as possible so I can have them large and clear. I like the idea of having 1 min bars to see the candles and volume PLUS 5 minute vol profile of that area and ONLY WANT TO SEE on 1 min numbers bars deltas over 250 or -250 and below. If I make background BLACK which is my chart's background it goes over the 5 min vol profile Volume by Price. Is there a way in numbers bars to ONLY Plot the background and text for deltas at that level of in example case +250 and -250? I want both the delta background to be invisible plus text invisible as black will go over top of the 5m volume profile I also need to see. I suspect this is not possible as I've spent a lot of time trying to do this. If its not possible I'd like to make request of one and preferably both of my ideas. I have accomplished this with volume by price but not with numbers bars. A) Like in Volume by Price Add "Volume Text Threshold" or "Delta Text Threshold" so its only applicable for those displaying delta. B) For colors black on black background does not work if you have 5m or other time frame volume profiles visible plus wanting to see the significant events in SMALLER bars such as 1m. I'd like to make the recommendation of adding TRANSPARENT to the color choices as this would open up so many possibilities and truly allow us to create anything we want and I'm starting to recognize NEED to trade better. Example A chart shows a lot of black text over my 5m volume profiles. I only want to see the bigger deltas and no way I can see to get rid of the black text and black deltas messing up the volume profile below. Example B is using 5m volume by price and 1m delta by price which might best I can do but don't wan to see all the red/green low delta areas as I only care about bigger ones. Having the small sliver of red/green distracts from the candle stick I want to focus on. Can this be done the way I want and if not hope you will take my suggestions to make numbers bars perfect. Seeing multiple time frames on ONE chart is critically important at least for me. |

I did make transparency 99 so that got rid of all the faint green/red super low deltas but also sadly doesn't show visually the HUGE deltas like the -668 at 15:02 if I don't notice the big number will miss that key level. I do appreciate Sierra's immense power and can pretty do 99% do what I want but in this case seems always a trade off no matter how I try to accomplish this. I prefer this over seeing all the red/green slivers but also feel in heat of trading I'll miss a HUGE delta level as it doesn't show background. Maybe in volume by price I can hide all smaller deltas both in text AND histogram? |

A quick thought on this: Without any coding one way might be to remove the color shading from your numbers bars - eg so they were all light grey - and then add the Volume At Price Threshhold V2 study (Volume at Price Threshold Alert V2) You could use two instances of this study, firstly to find the +250 or greater delta and secondly the -250 or lesser delta Those levels could be marked with Tick Sized Rectangles at those levels OR, if you get into coding you could code your own volume at price study (VAP) to plot the text you are looking for |
