how would i get the current total session volume for an instrument on the DOM. A simple label with the number, just like on a TPO chart, we can have it displayed on top of the tpo with the VBp study but doesnt seem to work on DOMs

If you have a Volume by Price profile on the Trading DOM, then you can add the text just like you do with a chart and a TPO graph. Refer to the following: Volume By Price Study: Show Chart Values On Profile If you are not seeing this value displayed, then you would need to check the "Chart Values Position on Profile". By default, this is set to "Top of Graph", meaning that it will be displayed at the top of the Volume by Price Profile. Since a Trading DOM typically shows a smaller range of data, you may not see the value printed as it is out of view. In this case, the best option is to set the "Chart Values Position on Profile" to be "Bottom of the Window". Another option would be to add a "Cumulative Daily Volume" study to a chart for the same symbol as the Trading DOM, and the use the "Text Display for Study from Chart" to display the "Cumulative Daily Volume" value in the Trading DOM window. Since the "Text Display for Study from Chart" is not one of the default studies available on a Trading DOM, you would have to go through the instructions at the following link to add it to the Trading DOM: Chart Trading and the Chart DOM: Adding Studies on a Trade DOM For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
