back up second system

As I understood i can use a second system on a separate laptop at the same time. I did the regular installation on other computer How can i use exact the same data and settings as my main system can i use the back up map amd copy in my 2nd system or another way thkx A |

First, follow the instructions at the following link for how to copy the settings from one system to another: Transferring Sierra Chart Settings and Data From Existing Installation to New Installation: Transferring Sierra Chart Settings and Data From Existing Installation to New Installation Next, you need to understand that the two systems are completely separate. Both systems can not be accessing the same files. But, you can move the information between them, as noted above. In particular, if you are using either one system or the other, and you want to have the same Chartbooks, then you would want to copy the chartbooks between the systems when you are changing between them. There is no automated method to do this, you have to remember to do this. And you do not want to put the information on a shared drive, this can lead to issues with both systems trying to access the data - also the system will run much slower due to the overhead of a shared drive. One other note - although you are allowed to turn Sierra Chart on up to 3 systems simultaneously, the exchanges work differently. They only allow a maximum of 2 connections and you need to pay a second set of exchange fees in order to get the data to a second system simultaneously. Refer to the following: Denali Exchange Data Feed: Denali Exchange Data Feed on Two Computers Simultaneously But, if you are only using one system or the other at a time, then you do not need to pay the extra exchange fees. You do, however, need to ensure that you exit completely from Sierra Chart on each system before you change to the other.
