[Programming Help] - Study/Price Overlay study with spreadsheet.

Hi Team, I have a question re Study/price overlay and Spreadsheet trading studies settings. I am working on two charts- Source chart - 10 tick range chart Destination chart - Number of trade chart which is set to 1. I am using Study/price overlay study to overlay Color Background Based On Alert study onto destination chart. Additionally, I have Spreadsheet study on my destination chart. The issue I am encountering is when the condition for Color Background based on alert study is true. It highlights all the bars starting from beginning of the bar and not when the condition became true. In the spreadsheet, Study/Price overlay will have value 1 from beginning of the bar. It will overwrite the values for previous bar as well. Can you please let me know if there is a way to update the settings so that it only highlight those bar where the condition became true. Thank you |

There are only two settings in the Study/Price Overlay study that can affect what you are seeing: - Data Copy Mode - Bar Time Matching Method. If the Study/Price Overlay study is used on non-timebased charts, set the Data Copy Mode to 'Use Earliest Value from Corresponding Timeframe' Auto Trade System Back Testing: Performing Back Testing on a Trading System That Uses Multiple Charts These two settings can mitigate most issues, but there might still be some unwanted occurrences. |
