Spreadsheet Study for Trading Trigger Not Firing Consistency

Hello,

I am using the Spreadsheet Study for Trading, and am referencing a Color Bar by Alert Condition Study in the K3 cell to generate a buy entry trigger (=IDx.SG1@3 > 0). The majority of the time the automated trading system works as expected, but on perhaps 1 in 10 triggers, I notice that the trigger doesn't generate a signal as expected. I have both the Color Bar study on the chart, as well as a small "arrow" generated by the Spreadsheet study, and I can see that on certain bars, the Color Bar gives a "true" condition, marked by the bar being colored, but the Spreadsheet Trading study does not generate an "arrow" to confirm it is recognizing the buy signal. When I went to go look at the actual study data inside the spreadsheet itself, I can see that the column representing the Color Bar study trigger does not show the "true" condition in the spreadsheet column. However, if I manually force a recalculation of the chart, then the true condition DOES show up on the spreadsheet and then suddenly the green arrow (generated by the Spreadsheet study) appears on the chart, and the spreadsheet data refreshes to show the bar as having a true signal.

The Color Bar study is above the Spreadsheet chart in the sequence of studies, so I assume it's not related to calculation time/sequence? However, I can't find any other explanation for why most of the Color Bar/Study generated signals are "seen" by the Spreadsheet, but why the occasional signal is not "seen". Furthermore, I discovered that if I tried to overlay the Color Bar study onto another chart and then have a separate Spreadsheet study reference that overlay of the original Color Bar study, then this issue does not seem to happen, and all signals fire/are "seen" as expected. If this is indeed a calculation priority issue, can you suggest how else I can generate this trigger code so that it is recognized 100% of the time by the Spreadsheet study? - do I need to enter the code directly into the Spreadsheet K3 cell? Or something else entirely?

Thank you -

There is an issue with the precedence of these studies, regardless of where they are in the list of studies to graph. Refer to the following:
Chart Studies: Study Calculation Precedence And Related Issues

So in this case, you can not reference a "Color Bar Based on Alert Condition" in a "Spreadsheet Study". You would need to recreate the condition in the Spreadsheet itself. You can still use the "Color Bar Based on Alert Condition" to see the information, but you need to actual code the condition into the Spreadsheet study.
