Hi,

I would like to trade Micro E mini SP500 contracts on the E mini SP500 contract chart.

I have activated this feature by going to Chart>Chart settings>Symbol.

**Symbol **will be the normal E mini SP500 code
**Trade and current quote Symbol** will be the Micro code
**Use as trade only symbol**, **ticked.**

However, When I open a position on the charts of the EMini, I have a position on the EMicro and also on the EMini.
I would like to have a position on the EMicro only.

Can you help me because there is a problem ?

Thanks and regards

Why do you state that you have a position open on the E-Mini S&P 500?

The position and orders will show on the chart for the ES that has the "Trade And Current Quote Symbol" set for the MES as well as any other chart that is setup for the MES.

Hello

As already informed, here are the settings that I have entered on the Emini chart

**Symbol ** will be the normal E mini SP500 code
**Trade and current quote Symbol** will be the Micro code
**Use as trade only symbol**, **ticked.**

Are they correct?
Please confirm

These are correct to trade the Micro E-Mini (MES) from a chart displaying the E-Mini (ES).

You will also need to change your "Currency Value per Tick" in order to display the correct Profit/Loss. Refer to the following:
Chart Settings: Updating Currency Value per Tick for Trade Symbol

I have a position on the EMicro and also on the EMini
Assuming this is happening in SIM and not in a live account, I have seen this happen couple of times in the distant past but only during market replays with auto trading. If this applies to you then try
1) Edit>Refresh Log in trade activity log or
2) Switch to a brand new sim account with no trading history.
3) switching sim account on the trade ticket window to refresh all the order fills displayed on the chart

Hi

I have noted that my settings are correct.

But as already informed at the beginning of this ticket, when I open a position on the EMini Charts, it opens a position on the EMicro and also on the EMini which I don't want
I want a position only on the EMicro.
Can you help me solve this problem?
Thanks in advance

Some more thoughts:
1) close all open chartbooks and try with just one chart book with one ES/MES chart
2) it’s normal to see MES order fill on ES/MES chart. Are you seeing trades on ES in TAL? Please confirm the symbol under trades tab if you are seeing ES/MES AND ES for two distinct trades opened at around the same time.
3) In TAL, apply filter of one symbol at a time to see if it still shows two unique fills (one for MES and one for ES) in the new SIM account
4) if you are auto trading, turn off auto trading globally and enter one manual trade on the es/mes chart to see if it makes any different.
5) make sure both es and mes are current month contracts.

Sorry/ that’s all I got :-)

Hello
I have seen the TAL and it seems that we have trade for only MES
Please confirm that this will be the same when I switch to a live account
because I do not want to over trade with high lots in the ES

Your trading configuration will remain the same when going from simulation to live.

However, enable order confirmations and check the symbol displayed to know the symbol you are actually trading. And you can check the orders in Trade >> Trade Orders Window.
