Apex trader funding (propfirm) questions ?

I am interested in trading with Apex Trader Funding and considering buying a $50k account. I understand that this will start with an evaluation account where trading is done in simulation. I currently use SierraChart with service package 11 because it provides the necessary functionality for my order flow charts, such as footprint charts and volume profiles. I've always used the Denali data feed while sim trading. However, I know Apex uses Rithmic, and I'm wondering if it provides the necessary data feed for the tools I use in service package 11. Here are my questions: 1: Can I use SierraChart when trading with Apex? 2: Can I use service package 11 to access my volume profile and footprint charts? Who pays for this—Apex or myself? 3: I heard Apex offers Rithmic data feed. Is this correct, and does it mean I can't use Denali data feed? Who is responsible for paying for the data feed? 4: Can I bypass the Rithmic data feed from Apex and purchase Denali data feed and service package 11 on my own to access the necessary data for volume profile and footprint charts? Will this be acceptable to Apex, and who will bear the cost? 5: I've heard that a funded brokerage account is required to buy Denali data feed. This contradicts my plan as I want to trade using the prop firm's funds. Is this true? 6: Upon reaching my profit goal and receiving a PA (performance account), a fee is required. Is this fee a one-time charge or recurring? Thank you for any responses. I hope there are traders here with experience using Apex who can share their insights. I've heard some concerns about Apex, such as issues with surface payments, ghost orders, and problems with orders. |

1. Yes. 2. Sierra Chart Package 11 gives you access to the Numbers Bars and Volume Profile. You pay for your Sierra Chart yourself. 3. APEX does use Rithmic for their order routing and you can use the Rithmic data. You can use the Denali Exchange Data Feed instead of the Rithmic data. Refer to the following: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Integration with Trading Services Just also keep in mind that if you are wanting data for the CME Group, then you need to have a live, funded, futures trading account to which you can connect your Sierra Chart software. Prop firm accounts, like APEX, do not count towards this requirement. Refer to the following: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges You are responsible for anything you purchase from us. We can not say how APEX deals with the Rithmic data costs. 4. Refer to the response for #3. 5. Yes. Refer to the response for #3. 6. You need to ask APEX this question. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

So you have rithmic as order routing and not teton order routing when it comes to APEX? then if I have understood it correctly, there is also rithmic data feed instead of denali data feed? and if I have understood it correctly, I must have an open funded broker account such as AMP futures with money in the account for example 100 usd (MNQ margin) to be able to buy denali data feed. So that I can get Live cme data. I have to buy service package 11 myself as usual. |

The choice of order routing is up to the broker, or in this case the Prop Firm. It is not our choice. APEX uses Rithmic. then if I have understood it correctly, there is also rithmic data feed instead of denali data feed?
Yes, this is correct. Just be aware that the Rithmic data feed has limited historical data and we do not give any support for issues with their data. Refer to the following: Rithmic Trading Platform Service: Rithmic Market Data and Support Policy and if I have understood it correctly, I must have an open funded broker account such as AMP futures with money in the account for example 100 usd (MNQ margin) to be able to buy denali data feed. So that I can get Live cme data.
This is correct. This is a requirement from the CME Group. I have to buy service package 11 myself as usual.

can i use rithmic order routing and instead of rithmic data use denlia exchange data feed? that is if i plan to trade via Apex. Also if i onnly want to trade ES, and MES and MNQ and use volumeprofile, footprint (orderflow based tools/charts). Which of these two live cme data should I choose to get away cheap? Alternative 1: Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) with Market Depth for non-professional Trading accounts 37.5 usd Alternative 2: CME with Market Depth for non-professional Trading accounts 12,5 usd |

What futures trading/brokerage service do you use? For the reason why we ask this question, refer to: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges (Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges) To take advantage of the lower-priced CME nonprofessional fees you cannot be using only Apex. i will use AMP futures broker and i will use denali data feed sierrachart. But rithmic order routing will i use because i will trade through Apex trader funding. So i will use rithmic order routing instead of teton roder routing but i will use denali data feed instead of rithmic data feed and i will trade through Apex trader funding. Does this work? Also does Amp futures count as a broker to be able to get non professional status so that i can get cheap live cme data? |

If you are using AMP that is fine to get the CME market data at nonprofessional rates, but have them set you up on our Teton order routing: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Ok so i need to ask amp futures to set me up with teton order routing. But will this work with Apex trader funding? I mean they use rithmic for order routing and rithmic for datafeed? Or am i missing something. So you say i can trade apex evaluation and PA account with using sierracharts teton order routing and sierracharts denali Exchange datafeed instead of rithmic routing anf rithmic datafeed? |

No, this is not what we are saying. With APEX, you will use Rithmic for the order routing. You have no choice in this. You can use either the Rithmic data or our Denali Exchange Data Feed for your data. Sierra Chart is setup to allow you to get your data from us while connected to a different trading service. Refer to the following: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Integration with Trading Services In order to get the data for the CME Group from us, you need to have a live, funded, futures trading account in order to qualify for the non-professional exchange fees. And you need to be able to connect your Sierra Chart software to that account at least once a month for verification. This is where you need the AMP account setup with the Teton Order Routing (it is just easiest to use the Teton Order Routing for this). If you do not trade that AMP account regularly, then you just need to connect to it once a month as noted above. If you are going to trade the AMP account, then you will want a separate installation of Sierra Chart, so you will have one installation connected to AMP, and another installation connected to APEX. Refer to the following: Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time: Step-By-Step Instructions to Install Multiple Copies of Sierra Chart The instructions to connect to Rithmic are at the following link: Rithmic Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions The instructions to connect to the Teton Order Routing service are at the following link: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing: Setup Instructions For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
