hi,

Stop Limit works as i'd expect in sim, but essentially given recent issues with market in pricing being a potential apex-sierra-rithmic-deal breaker, hoping limit in will work instead... either way been putting off chasing this down, so i'm asking please.

pardon but this was the other thread:
911!Entering orders/the price is off, sim works perfectly, completely baffled, plz help!

using the trade window, use attached orders checked, put in a price in the stop box , above reads stop limit click buy and nothing happens in the live accounts... (whereas the stop, entry and targets appear in sim)

also wondering/hoping my apex-sierra-rithmic-deal breaker may be alleviated by the need to prove i'm a non pro by connecting to a brokerage account again...

essentially i need a solution to keep using sierra-apex-rithmic effectively, cuz i don't want to start over essentially on another platform...

We are not quite understanding the workflow. Are you entering a Stop-Limit as the Parent order or as an attached order?

After you do this and do not get what you are expecting, open your "Trade >> Trade Service Log" and see if there is an error in there stating what occurred. Specifically a rejection from Rithmic. You can post your Trade Service Log to this thread by following these instructions:

I re-read your guidance after posting here, the trade service log upon testing now reads market closed so that's why re-testing was rejected. I'll circle back at some point after the market opens, I was looking in the message log historically, not the trade log for hints...

Pardon but while i'm here, still trying to sort out all the pieces on sierra-apex-rithmic vs denali/teton etc... My sierra fees are coming up for monthly renewal, I want to stay with Sierra's software, so if I'm not using the data feed and am using Rithmic/apex and and I don't want to do the 'easy' solution by connecting to a broker once month will i still be functional without paying for the denali datafeed? (with the caveat of Rithmic datafeed is unreliable with Sierra sometimes)

thanks for help. dwayne

You still have to continue to pay for Service Package 11 just not the CME exchange fee. And at this time, you are already using Rithmic market data. And not from the Denali Data Feed.
