Hello,

I am backtesting a simple variable and was having issues with reversals on the spread sheet trading system.
The signals themselves technically work fine (an existing trade will exit with the opposite buy/sell signal but will not enter a new trade). It will then wait for a repeat of the same signal before entering again.

I uploaded a screenshot of the executions where trades aren't reversing at the buy/sell signals and an image of relevant spreadsheet variables.

Max position allowed is 1
Reversals also set to 1

Thank you.

Also wanted to confirm that I only have a buy and a sell forumlas, no exit formulas.

Do you have the Spreadsheet System for Trading Input for "Support Reversals" set to "Yes"?

Do you have any issues with this working with live data as opposed to backtesting?

What backtesting options are you using?

Reversals are set to yes.

Its actually live forward testing since the triggers are based on pull stack data.

Then you do not have something correct.

Our guess is that the option for "Cancel All Orders on Entries and Reversals" is set to "No". If you have working orders associated with these positions, then this would need to be set to "Yes".

If this is not it, then when you have this situation occur, you need to look at the "Trade >> Trade Service Log" and there will be an entry at the last line that gives some information on what has occurred. You can post that to this thread for us to investigate if it is not obvious what it is referring to.
