Hello John I have a study here that draws a line (ID1.SG1). I now want to use the study "Color Based On Alert Condition" to color the candle when the line is touched. I tried different settings and formulas but it didn't work. How do I have to set up the study so that I get a signal? Or do I have to use another study "Color Bar Based On ..."? Thanks John |

In that study SG1 has a name of "Bullish Bar Extension Line Properties". That is not one of our studies (or if it is we need to know the actual name is), so we can't say for sure, but if that is an actual Extension Line, then you can not use it in the way you are wanting to. The extension lines are special items that are kept within the system, but the data is not made available through a subgraph (or other means). They can be accessed through a Custom Study. You would need to see if one of the subgraphs contains the data you want and then base your Color Bar Based on Alert Condition on that subgraph. You may need to use the Spreadsheet Study to take the data and make it extend across the chart so you can test it against the current bar.
