This is an Enhancement Request. The "Scale" page on Chart Settings now has an option "Include Microseconds on Intraday Chart Timescale". I've experimented with this, and I don't find it useful for my purposes. (I'm using "Number of Trades" bars on my charts.) What would be really helpful for me would be the option to ""Include Microseconds on Intraday Chart Timescale Cursor." Specifically, this would show the microseconds on the timescale for any specific bar I point to with the "Chart Values/Crosshair" cursor. Currently, even if the chart is set to include microseconds on the timescale, the crosshair is not showing microseconds for the current bar the cursor is pointing to, only seconds. I'm in the early stages of designing my short-term automated trading system for the MNQ, and I notice some large moves happen very fast. I'd like to easily check the time in microseconds for the start and end bars for such moves, to see what class of moves an automated system could feasibly catch, I would think this might be pretty easy to do - either as a separate option, or simply having the cursor also show microseconds for the current bar when the timescale is set to show microseconds on the timescale. You can view the Microsecond values on the "Tool Values Window" and the "Compact Tool Values Window". Keep in mind the microseconds is a counter of the trades that occurred within the same millisecond - it is not the actual microsecond of the trade.

Thanks! I had forgotten that it's not actual microseconds, but just having the milliseconds will be enough. |
