Hello,

I traded a simulated funded account from a prop firm with Rithmic data fee and the order placement were always correct. I had no issues before.
However on Tuesday (07/16/2024) at 9:14 AM CT, I placed a market order at the price level 20640.00 (Micro E-Mini Nasdaq 100) and wanted to sell three micro contracts.
The Nasdaq was trading around the price level of 20640.00, at the time I placed the order, once I entered the order I was filled at the following price level: 20505.7500

This means that there was a slippage of more then 100 Index Points. What can I do to prevent such an issue from further happening ? Do you noticed any issue from the Rithmic server side at this time ?

Thank you.

The only way to prevent this, is to use a Limit order instead of a market order.

It is also possible there was this apparent issue because the data you were receiving was delayed.

So you were not aware of the actual current price.

Thanks for your answer, I was connected to real time Rithimc Data, the only thing I was doing differently at this time was that I was using Micro Contracts instead of a Standard Contract. I placed many Market Orders in the past at the current price level and they were always correct filled.

I looked at the historical price data and the market wasn't trading at this low price level at the time I placed the order.

Is there anyway to confirm this that the slippage occured, because of this big slippage my account has been liquidated and I would need proof.

You need to look at the Orders that led to that particular fill and see what the values were and what occurred. The information is all in your Trade Activity Log. We do not have any access to what occurred at that time. Refer to the following:

I looked at Trade Activity Log and the InternalOrderID is 2085. I attached screenshots where you can see the current market level 20622.50 and fill price was 20505.75. Chart mode was "on" and the red horizontal line is the executed price, basically it filled on Mondays low (7/15/2024) and trade position window showed 20642.25 High During Position and 20630.50 Low During Position - this even doesn't link together. Normally the fill price should be between High and Low During Position.

First, we cannot answer questions about fill prices. It does not help to ask us about this. We can simply cannot answer any questions about that. We do not know.

And also set the Trade Activity Log to display "Fills" instead of Orders:
Trade Activity Log: Common Instructions to Set Trade Activity Log Display Settings

To see the actual data associated with the fill.

Many thanks for your response. Yes, I can see from the Trade Activity Log that the Fill Price was 20505.75 it displays. It's still unclear why this much slippage happened.

This phenomenon has never occured in the past, that's why I reached out to you. Have a nice weekend.

This would be an order filled at the exchange. So you need to get the exchange order ID and contact the exchange. But it is what it is.

Usually the reason for the apparent issue is the data you are receiving, is delayed relative to the actual price.
