This may help Sierra + Rithmic users who have Norton 360 + VPN. I recently started receiving "Connect event error. Windows error code 10060" HTTPS connection ID:49 to downloads.rithmic.com:443 for request ID:49 (3) | Connect event error. Windows error code 10060: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. *
I did read some earlier threads that seemed to have the same issue which granted is rarely down to Sierra. That said although trades were being placed correctly it was still a little worrying. The SOLUTION for me was to disable the NORTON 360 VPN.
Turning off solved the time issue and turning on recreated it. It may not be the solution for all but it seems to work for me. Hope this helps someone with the same issue who thinks its Rithmic or dare I say Sierra. |
