I have been trying to change the timezone on my chart its 1 hour behind or?. when I go to global settings, timezone settings, nothing happens, its really bad because its giving me conflicting results because of the time zone. I also use trading view, and its exactly my timezone (London UTC/BTS+1) so I tried changing the timezone on trading view to -1 hours thinking it will sync with Sierra, but it didnt the three hours candle on sierra starts from eg 4am - 6am while on trading view starts from 3am-5am so its still an hour behind after changing my timezone to -1 hour. dont know how to fix this kindy assist. |

The first thing to keep in mind is that there is a Global Time Zone setting and there are Chart Time Zone settings. By default, the charts are setup to use the "Global Time Zone", but if you change the Global Time Zone and this does not change your chart(s) then this would mean that the chart(s) are setup not use the Global Time Zone. Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Time Zone (List) (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Session Times menu) If you do not want specific charts to use a specific time zone, then be sure to set this setting to "Use Global Time Zone". The other thing to consider is that when you change the time zone, the chart(s) will adjust the Session Times to reflect the new time zone. You may need to change these Session Times if your original setup was not correct. Hi John, I plan to travel across multiple Europe and Asia timezones during the summer. My default timezone is always set to Global using Eastern timezone and works fine when I am in Pacific time zone. Do I need to change any settings in my platform to accommodate daylight savings or any other data connectivity settings? I would prefer to keep my timezone as EST at all times regardless of where I am physically located. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-06-15 05:59:18

It does not matter where you are physically located. Sierra Chart does not use your computer's time zone setting, or any other external setting for the time zone. What you set in the Global Time Zone and the Chart Time Zone (if not using the Global Setting) is what it is. Your charts will always be set to that time zone regardless of where you are physically located.
