Would it be possible to have the POC available as a subgraph in the Initial Balance study?

This is not something we would do. The Initial Balance study is a very different calculation from the POC, so it really does not belong there. Additionally, the POC is available in the "Volume Value Area Lines" and the "Volume by Price" studies.

Thanks - so I tried the "Volume by Price Study" and selected "One Period From Start to End Time" and set the session time from 9:30 AM EST to 10:30 AM EST. I have the POC and Value Area lines for that period set to extend until "End of Window"

The problem is those lines do not extend until the end of the chart - if I move my chart past 1PM EST (approximately) they disappear from my view. This might be a scaling issue but I manually adjusted my scale and it helps marginally but ultimately the lines still disappear when I scroll past a certain time.

I am not sure if I can accomplish this with "Volume Value Area Lines" if I want my chart to cover the entire session - I don't see the ability to limit the time period for the VALs and POC by a range of hours.

We do see what you are referencing.

The solution is to use the "Color Bar Based on Alert Condition". We know this sounds odd, but it has an option to create extension lines, and this will work for what you want. Set the following in the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition:
- Based On: Set this to the Volume by Price Profile that has the POC you want to extend.
- Output When Condition True: Use Input Data
- Input Data: select the "Point of Control" subgraph (this should already be selected).
- Draw Extension Lines at Color Bar Value: Extend to End of Chart (or another option if it is more to your liking)
- On the Subgraphs tab set the "Draw Style" for the "Color Bar" subgraph to be "Ignore".
- On the Subgraphs tab set the "Color" of the Extension Lines to be what you want.
- On the Subgraphs tab set the "Width" of the Extension Lines to be what you want.
- On the Alerts tab enter the following for the alert: =1

I tried the steps above for some reason I get two other random lines above the POC. One of the lines matches up exactly to the IB POC, but the other two I can't identify. This is surprising given that I only have "Point of Control" as the subgraph for the Input Data.

Please give us an image of what you are seeing by following these instructions:

Are you using Multiple Profiles for the Volume by Price study so that you get lines for each day at the specified time? If so, then most likely what you are seeing are lines from previous profiles continuing to extend.
