Hello, Is it possible to display a Volume Profile (using a Volume by Price study) on a standalone Sierra Chart DOM/Price Ladder that shows the Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) as well as the 1st/2nd standard deviations prices (in the price column if possible) please? Thank you Regards |

You can display the VWAP from the Volume by Price study on a Chart DOM. And you can set the current price for the VWAP to show in the Price Ladder. Refer to the following: Volume By Price Study: Draw Mode Chart Studies: Subgraphs Tab >> Name and Value Labels But the Volume by Price study does not have any support for Standard Deviation bands for the VWAP. If you want the bands, then you would need to setup the VWAP study on a regular chart and then use the "Study/Price Overlay" to put that study onto the Trading DOM. Refer to the following: Study/Price Overlay Study For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Many thanks, it worked. Another question please: does changing the "Bar Period Value" in the Chart Settings window of the DOM impact its performance at all? if there is any impact, for optimum performance of the DOM should i adjust the value of "Bar Period Value" to a higher or lower value? Is the "Chart Update Interval in ms" the only value impacting the performances of the DOM? Thank you Regards |

The bar period can have an impact on the Study/Price Overlays that are on the Trading DOM, but this is going to be negligible. The only reason for any impact is just trying to line up the bars to determine where each data point goes. So if the Bar Period is the same as the chart from which the overlay comes, then this will not have any impact. But again, it really is not going to do anything anyway. Therefore, the most important item is the "Chart Update Interval".
