Hi
I am executing through CQG
If I want to check my latency with SC from AWS (east region), which IP address should I ping?
I get 18ms when I try this ds23.sierracharts.com and nothing when I ping ds1.sierracharts.com
thanks

We do not know. You can contact CQG about this.

If you are concerned about latency we recommend using Teton order routing:

It is not possible to check the latency to Teton order routing because of security reasons, the servers and network that we use, will not respond to a ping.

But we can tell you the equipment is located in Aurora Illinois in the CME data center. And the Internet connection is from Zayo.

actually, what you are saying is that I will need to check my activity log and compare the time I send an order to the time I get a fill?

Yes you can do that but we find that looking at times in the Trade Activity Log are not as accurate as what we see on our server, for various reasons.

coding a latency study?
