Have been attempting install of Sierra Chart to a Mac M3 using parallels and windows 11 activated. Cannot install system either with direct download or using zip file. Only 3 days left of trial version. Need to be able to install before expiry. Thank you

We can reset your trial when you get it installed, do not worry about that.

But we can not help with installations on emulators as we simply do not have enough experience with them.

We have set this as a User Discussion, as there are other MAC users out there that may be able to help you.

Problem solved (apparently - will need to test). Windows 11 with Parallels will still not provide the correct file path - must be done manually.

John - can you please extend the trial period? Thx

@cmack1011

I know some users run Windows 11 ARM on Apple Silicon based computers, see this thread:
Sierra Chart Executables for ARM 64 Processor

But it seems there will be challenges compile custom studies.

I am running Sierra on Apple Intel based computers with Linux. I wouldn't think using Sierra on Silicon based computers is the best option at this moment.

If your Windows is not ARM version, then Parallel would work as an emulator, not a Virtual Machine, the performance would be significantly poorer.

Thank you Tony

Currently I'm running Windows 11 Pro with Parallels 19 (and the Sierra ARM version) and I can seamlessly move from my Windows screens to my MacOS screens and apps without having to log out of one platform and into the other - feels like one operating system. If I were to download the Windows 11 ARM version and set up a VM, would I then lose the seamless movement from Windows to MacOS? Thx!

Sorry cmack1011, I don't have the answer to your question, I will wait to see what others have to say. I wouldn't change anything though if everything works fine.

I didn't know Sierra ARM works with non-ARM Windows.
