Changing chart bar period via custom hotkey

I would like to change the chart bar period via a custom hotkey. I read the help docs and it doesn't seem that this is possible. However, I did see in Global Settings >> Customize Keyboard Shortcuts that there is a Chart keyboard option for "Quickly Changing Bar Period". I couldn't find anything about that keyboard shortcut in the help docs (or support board) either so I just assigned it to see what it would do, and it appears to simply open the bar period help docs. Two questions: 1) Is it correct that bar periods cannot be changed via a custom hotkey? 2) Is the only thing the "Quickly Changing Bar Period" hotkey does is open the help docs? Thanks. |

The Keyboard Shortcuts are mostly the same items that are available from the menu options. Therefore the option for "Quickly Changing Bar Period", which is available under the Chart menu, does only open the help documents for how to change the bar period. Note that there are multiple options for bar periods that can be setup in the Keyboard Shortcuts, along with a single "Custom" one. Thanks. If I assign a hotkey to "Custom", how do I assign the desired bar period to "Custom"?

Custom just brings up the Chart Settings window to allow you to set any other time format. Therefore, you are limited to what is listed.
