Hi, I wonder if you can help me. I have a live account successfully running with a broker using Denali and Teton Order Routing - all good. I have now purchased a Prop Account and I have to use Rithmic if I want to use Sierra Charts. They are not sure if I can run two instances through Sierra Charts, 1 with the broker, the other with the Prop Firm. I'm keen to know if it can be done. If so, could you please direct me to some guidance notes? Many thanks Rob |

Yes, this can be done. You just need to install a second Sierra Chart on the same computer (installing on the same computer will allow you to access the data you are already setup to get from our Denali Exchange Data Feed without having to pay anything additional). Then you will setup the second installation to connect to your Prop Firm account. Refer to the instructions at the following link to install a second Sierra Chart: Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time: Step-By-Step Instructions to Install Multiple Copies of Sierra Chart To connect that second installation to Rithmic, follow these instructions: Rithmic Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions As we noted above, you will get the data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed to both installations. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hi, I really need some help which may involve one of your colleagues accessing my computer. I'm happy to pay for the support if required. a) I had Sierra Charts set up as a live trading account with Dorman Trading using Denali with Teton Order Routing. Local folder Windows C>SierraChart b) I followed your instructions to install a second Sierra Chart on my PC and have configured for a Prop firm trading account using Rithmic. Folder Windows C>SierraChart2 I was in danger of getting confused as to which session was which, so I decided to remove the SC icon from my taskbar and pop it on the desktop. The intention being to rename the shortcuts to Sierra Chart Prop & Sierra Chart Broker. Somehow I seem to have lost a lot of the configuration of the original SierraChart version on my computer. When I now try to connect none of the charts have live data coming through, the shortcut doesn't even open the correct folder for the chartbooks etc. It's a bit of a mess. The only thing I can think of doing is to copy SierraCharts2, create a SierraCharts3 and go through that long painful process again which will include setting everything up with the broker as well. I'm hoping one of your team can come over on TeamViewer, spot the issue and provide support. Please help! Do I need to log a new ticket? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-05-08 15:03:21

Removing the shortcuts to the executable would not make any difference to the charts. Start with the following. Go to the C:\SierraChart folder and start "SierraChart_64.exe" directly from that folder. Once that installation is running, select "Global Settings >> Create Desktop Shortcut". This will place a shortcut on your desktop. Change the name for that shortcut so you know which installation it is referring to. Then do the same thing for the C:\SierraChart2 folder to create a desktop icon and name it appropriately. Once you have your Sierra Chart installations working properly, then let us know what the next issue is that you are having. John, thanks for the response. To be honest I think I did something really stupid. I may have dragged the icon from the folder onto the desktop thinking that would create the shortcut. So, in the folder now the only similar looking icon I have is SierraChart_ARM64

I also have a number of other folders on the desktop which I believe appeared as a result of my actions. The only thing I can see when looking into all the other folders ion SierraCharts is SierraChartsInstance2 folder > SierraChart_64 (Application)

It looks like you moved the entire Sierra Chart folder to the desktop. Do you know which of your Sierra Chart folders this is from? If so, then you can simply move the files back to that folder. Sierra Chart is setup to be portable, so this is not really a problem. The most important file in that list is 'Sierra4.config' as that has your global settings in it. If you can at least get that file put back in place, then you can re-install Sierra Chart into the same folder using our installer and you will be fine. Note that we do not see any folders in the list, so we assume these did not move as well, so your 'Data' folder should still be in the same location as before. If this is not the case, then you will want to make sure you move the 'Data' folder back to the appropriate Sierra Chart folder. John all the folders and the files that were in the main SierraCharts folder were "copied" to my desktop. All the original files remain in the original folder including 'Sierra4.config'. For now I've moved back SierraChart_64 as I would be duplicating everything otherwise. What's my next move? Reinstall Sierra Charts, then look to create the desktop shortcut? If so, how do I re-install? Just conscious that I have 2 Sierra Charts on my computer, one for Broker, one for Prop. I have uploaded another image showing SierraCharts folder with all the files in there. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-05-08 16:16:26

Just follow the instructions we gave you in Post #6 to create your desktop shortcuts. We'll move on to the next item after that.
