Hi In a rising market (or vice versa), where I am expecting a price reversal, using the Alert function built into the Horizontal Line Tool, I would like to be alerted when the price action crossed BACK (from above). Is this possible? If so, how could I set a visual indicator of this alert, such as Background (in Draw Styles, in Chart Studies Settings) And finally, could this function be used with your Auto Execution functionality? |

Using the Drawing Tool Alerts, you would select the options for the "Last" to be "Cross from Above". When a drawing alert occurs, the drawing will "blink" and you can select a specific configuration to change to, so you could have a different color and width when the condition is met. Refer to the following: Chart Drawing Tools: Chart Drawing Alerts -- In terms of coloring the background (or something else) you would use the "Color Bar Based on Alert Condition" study and reference the drawing either by the anchor points or by the value at a specific location. Refer to the following: Study/Chart Alerts And Scanning: Referencing Chart Drawings You could use this same concept for automated trading.
