Hello, I have multiple chartbooks and on one chartbook I have four charts from four different assets. When I change on another chartbook the asset from for example NQ to ES, every chart in every chartbook changes from NQ to ES, and that's good. But at this one chartbook I don't want that. The four assets should always stay the same, no matter if I change the asset on an other chartbook. How can I change this? |

Sierra Chart does not have the ability to change the symbols of charts between chartbooks. Within a chartbook, this is not a problem, and is handled through the Linking options. Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Linking The only thing we can think of is that you are using a custom study to do this. If this is the case, then you need to modify the study to have it do what you want. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Just so I understood this correctly. It is impossible to have four charts with four different assets/symbols in one chartbook? I tried exactly to do this and it worked, but as soon as I went to another chartbook and changed the assets/symbols, the assets/symbols in my chartbook with the four assets/symbols also has changed. At Linking my Link Number is at "none". At this one chartbook I don't want a synchronized chart, all four charts in this one chartbook should be individual. It is no problem to setup the chartbook the way I like it, but when I change the asset/symbol at one chart, the other charts also changes the symbol. That`s the problem. How can I solve this? |

This not impossible at all. You can have four different charts with different symbols in one chartbook. I tried exactly to do this and it worked, but as soon as I went to another chartbook and changed the assets/symbols,
the assets/symbols in my chartbook with the four assets/symbols also has changed. This makes no sense to us. As we stated previously, linking across chartbooks is not possible. There is no built-in method within Sierra Chart for a change to a symbol in one chart in one chartbook to change a chart in another chartbook. As stated previously, the only way this could occur is if you are using a custom study to do this. If you are not sure about the custom study, then start Sierra Chart in "Safe Mode" as this disables all custom studies and then perform your test again and let us know what occurs. Refer to the following for how to start in Safe Mode: Sierra Chart - Software Login Instructions: Using Safe Mode For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
