Dear Support

I have installed in a new directory Sierra Charts. I decided to copy the data "SCID" files across but the charts do not update.

However, when I reselect the contract from symbols the data downloads with a new data-file name. MESM24.CME.SCID has become MESM24-CME.SCID

Is it not possible to copy the data files across using copy paste?

Help appreciated.

Many thanks.

You can copy the files, but the situation you are referring to (MESM24.CME.scid along with MESM24-CME.scid) is due to different service settings. Each service uses a different symbol and every symbol has its own .scid file. Therefore, you must have been using Rithmic for your old installation, which had a symbol of MESM24.CME whereas your new installation must be set to "SC Data - All Service", as you are using a symbol named "MESM24-CME".

Hi John,

Thank you. When I revisited it I realised that was it but you beat me to clearing the message.

I for you come back to this post. Although I've copied the config file from my other installation things likw the Manage Chart Drawings dialogue have huge font sizing. Is this not set within the config file?

Many thanks.

Yes, those fonts are kept in that file, but it may not be that the font itself has changed, as it may be that you are using a different resolution on the monitor for which you then have a different Scaling set, which is why the font is appearing much larger. You will just have to change the font size and/or selection on this installation in "Global Settings >> Graphics Settings >> Fonts"
