I was wondering if there is a way to exclude a study from being forced into the frame when resetting the view on a chart (by right clicking on the price/vertical axis and selecting "Reset"). This is when using "Scale Range: Automatic" on a chart. I've only had this issue when using the "Study/Price Overlay" study to overlay longer term studies from my daily chart (historical chart) onto intraday charts. The issue is some of these lines are FAR out of scope of the current day's activities, especially in situations like the recent bull runs for the stock index futures. This means I have to manually adjust the scaling and move it up and down at times. When I was calculating those studies directly on the intraday charts I was not having scaling issue, but it was much more resource intensive. I can manually hide the worst offending studies to restore my desired functionality, but I'm not sure if there is a setting somewhere that would allow me to do this without manually hiding and unhiding studies as needed. To be clear, the studies are overlaying properly, they just are sometimes several hundred points away and I would rather use the automatic scaling settings and not have them forced into frame. |

Refer to the following: Chart Scale and Scale Adjusting: Basing Scale Only on Price Bars For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
