See Attached, when I click the bid column anywhere above the current price, it is supposed to enter at market at the top of the book. This will typically happen, but the problem I am having is when doing so, my 5 point stop bracket order will place the stop 5 points below where ever I clicked the price in the Bid column, which is above the current top of the book. When I enter this way it will place the 5 point stop in the wrong place. It is supposed to be placed 5 points below where the trade takes place and is executed. For example in the attached pic, the market is moving fast so I click the bid column above the top to the book at the 57.00 price, it enters and executes my order at 53.25. The stop should have been placed at 5 points below the enter price of 53.25 making the stop 58.25. Instead you see the system placed the stop at 52.00 which is 5 points from where I initially clicked to enter in the bid column. Am I doing something wrong or is there a setting that needs to be changed so the stop is put at 5 points below the actual execution price when entering by clicking in the bid column above the current price? Thanks for the help. |

Check the setting for "Trade >> General Trade Settings >> General >> Adjust Attached Orders to Maintain Same Offset on Parent Fill". It sounds like you have this set to "No", but you want it to be "Yes". Refer to the following: Global Trade Settings Windows: Adjust Attached Orders to Maintain Same Offset on Parent Fill (Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> General) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
