As I have noticed, with new versions SC has started the habit of shifting the rows of the I and J cells in the spread sheet studies. I reference these like (Attached Order Stop Offset with J85). Consequently with each new version of SC I am in a mess. Can I reference the values in the J cells using a name instead eg J85?

Pick the version you want to use, either the new or old. There is an Input for this on the Spreadsheet Studies named "Use Column I and J Values Version 2".
Spreadsheet Study Inputs: Use Column I and J Values Version 2

Also refer to the Input just below the one above. This will clear out the Column I values if you changed the previous setting.

Worst case, you can also delete all the values in columns I and J and then select "Chart >> Reload and Recalculate" and this will repopulate those cells based on the version that is set to use.

Thanks :)!! So there are only 2 lay outs, not a new one per update. Where do I find the setting for "Spreadsheet Study Inputs: Use Column I and J Values Version 2". I have followed the link, but was unable to locate the setting in sc.

Of course this is not changing per version. That would not make sense. Over a span of 15 years there has only been two different configurations. The second one only came recently.

If you do not see this new Input, it means the version you have does not support it.

The order of the information in our documentation is the order of the Inputs on the settings for the study. So the Input for "Use Column I and J Values Version 2" would be located just under the Input for "Minimum Chart Bars Required For Entry Exit Cell Evaluation".

As noted in the previous post, if you do not have this option, then you are not on a version that supports the new format. In which case, you should not have any issue with the layout changing.
