Hi,

I'm new to setting audio alerts but did a color bar alert and played a sound and works great. I'd like to know a few things before I start making a lot of alerts on various time frame charts. I notice there are 200 alerts is this the max? There's no way to select the audio file itself but instead reference alert1, alert2 ... etc and define those in appropriate section, I found it but can't recall name for this message.

Does alert window show the # chart or its time frame, name of study?

If I could see in alert window more details than I can have generic sounds for various things and when they hit can look at alert window to see more details. I tested it today audio alerts work on other workspaces that aren't visible, is there any downside to having a bunch of charts I don't really look at much but want alerts on tucked away on a different workspace?

Thanks for your help.

200 alert numbers is the maximum.

Each alert number can have an alert sound associated with it. You set this up through the "Global Settings >> General Settings >> Alerts". Refer to the following:
General Settings Window: Configuring Alert Number Instructions

Does alert window show the # chart or its time frame, name of study?

The Alert Manager shows the Chart Name, Chart Number, and Study that had the alert, along with any special Text for an alert and the Date and Time for the alert.

is there any downside to having a bunch of charts I don't really look at much but want alerts on tucked away on a different workspace?

This is something you need to decide.

Thanks have been experimenting and my best trades are alerts on different charts referencing complex set of rules that I'd never be able to see with indicators by themselves. I wasn't sure if alerts always worked on non visible charts so far appears they 100% do that's what I was asking above.

This gives me best of both worlds can keep charts I trade with simple and clear and draw and mark up but have more complex alerts as well.
