Visualize Daily Change % from Quote Board in a Chart?

Is it somehow possible to visualize the percentages from the Daily Change % column of the Quote Board in a chart?

I tried to achieve this by adding the corresponding symbols to a chart and then using the "Percent Change Since Open" study, but somehow this shows a different percentage value than the Quote Board.

Any advice how to implement that would greatly be appreciated.

Refer to how the Daily Change in the Quote Board is calculated at the following link:
Getting Quotes: Field Descriptions

You can view/get the Settlement Price from a Daily Historical Chart as well.

Thanks for the link John!

Based on that documentation, I understand how the daily change is calculated in the QuoteBoard and also how to extract the settlement price from a daily historical chart.

But what I don't see yet is how to properly visualize that information in a chart (e.g. as a line chart)
My goal is to build a "FAANG chart", that displays the daily change in % for the major tech stocks.

I assume it's much easier to realize than I think, but I just cannot find a solution right now.

Any additional advice would really be appreciated.

We need a bit more information on what you want to see.

In particular, it sounds like you want an indicator that shows the Daily Change % over time, but in order to do this properly, you would have to look at the Close for a day that is NOT the settlement price and then divide that by the previous day's settlement price.

Or, do you want to compare Settlement price from day to day?

Or is it something else?

Thanks John. Yes, exactly, I would like to create a chart that shows the Daily Change % over time for a trading day for multiple stocks (to see how the market, especially tech stocks, develop during RTH).

I attached a screenshot of my current chart to illustrate how that looks like so far:
I created a blank chart, and for each stock that I want to watch I added an "Add Additional Symbol" study and "paired" it with a corresponding "Percent Change Since Open" study.

I assumed that this would match with the % values for each stock that I can see in the DailyChange% column of the quote board (which is 0.00% on the attached screenshot because the market is closed at this moment), but the % values are different.

So, I'm not sure, if my approach is completely wrong, or if I just missed some important details. Maybe I just mistunderstood how the "Percent Change Since Open" study works.

As we noted above, the main reason you see a difference between the "Daily Change %" and the "Percent Change Since Open" is that the "Daily Change %" uses the Settlement price, which requires that you compare to the Close of the previous day from a Daily chart. This is going to be different from the Open of the current day in an Intraday Chart.

Getting exactly what you want is going to be a bit complicated, but it can be done. It is a bit more than what we can help you with in this Support Board. Basically, you will have to have two charts, one Intraday and one Daily, so you can get the Settlement price from the Daily chart. And then you will need to overlay the Daily to the Intraday and then use the Spreadsheet Study to align the data so that you can get the Daily data aligned to the Session Times for your Intraday Chart and then you can divide the Close of the Intraday bar by the Close of the previous day's Settlement.

Sorry we can not help more, as we said, it's going to be a bit complicated.

Doing this with a Custom Study would be easier. Refer to the following:
