Hi,

I would like to know if it is necessary to open a brokerage account to be able to connect Sierra Chart with prop firms like Apex or TopStep
And if you support only Rithmic data feed or also CQG

Thank You

If you want to get the real-time data for the CME Group at the non-professional rates from our Denali Exchange Data Feed, then it is necessary that you have a live, funded, futures trading account. And you need to be able to connect your Sierra Chart software to that account at least once a month for verification.

You can use the Rithmic data that is offered through Apex or TopStep, but it is not something we recommend. Refer to our position on Rithmic data at the following link:
Rithmic Trading Platform Service: Rithmic Market Data and Support Policy

We do not have support for CQG data for The CME Group and EUREX data. This data would have to come from our Denali Exchange Data Feed.

Can I have an account at a broker like AMP or EdgeClear, then use Denali Data Feed with Teton order routing and simultaneously link the account as a master account to use your trader copy for Apex combines with Rithmic data feed? Do you have any videos that explain how to do it because it seems quite difficult?

We do not have a tool that allows you to copy trades between brokers. The tool we have (Order Allocation to Trade Accounts) only works when you have multiple trading accounts under a single broker with the same login information. Refer to the information here:
Order Allocation to Trade Accounts

We do know that there are posts in this Support Board about a third-party tool that does what you want. You would have to search the board, or the Internet in general, to find it.

Ok so Trade by Matt that is promoting Sierra Chart for his 20 combines from Apex and he has a trade account with Edge Clear (he says that) how does he do it?

Does he turn off his own account and then connect to Rithmic and select 1 master account from the combines he has?
So instead of Teton order routing there will be Rithmic demo order routing?

Thank you

We can not answer this last question. We do not know how he does it - you would need to ask him.

Hi John,
Sorry but I need to confirm whether or not to open an account at EDGE CLEAR.

Can I trade my own account with EDGE CLEAR and once I'm done, start my trading with Apex using only Rithmic as order routing on demo servers with Denali as Data Feed? This is crucial for me

Yes, you can do this. But we recommend installing a second Sierra Chart. This way you will have one that is connected to your "Edge Clear" account and one connected to Apex. Refer to the following:
Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time: Step-By-Step Instructions to Install Multiple Copies of Sierra Chart

As long as both installations have the option for "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Allow Support For Sierra Chart Data Feeds" set to "Yes", then you get the Denali Exchange Data Feed data to those installations. Just be sure to load the installations on the same computer (if you use a different computer, then you will need to pay a second exchange fee).

Can I pay the subscription on behalf of another person who will have the account at the broker?

In this particular case I would have The Power of Attorney of his account, so I can trade on his account

So can I also pay Sierra Chart on his behalf or not?

The problem is that this person is very busy and travels often and it is difficult for me to make the entire payment procedure with him present

Yes. None of this matters to us. Whatever you want to do.

From the perspective of Sierra Chart, none of this is relevant.

It only becomes relevant when you are working with actual financial accounts.

Sierra Chart is just simply a subscription for software, market data, order routing and support services.

I have mentioned in various posts that the purpose is twofold

There is a real account at the broker where I operate LIVE with the power of attorney and then the same person will purchase combines to do simulated trading with the prop firms

So there is actually a real LIVE account

In this case, can I pay for the Sierra Chart service and the CME fees or does it have to be the person who has the LIVE account who pays?

We do not care. It does not make any difference to us, and we would not even know anyway.
