If I draw a Line on an RTH session only chart using alert settings Last and Equal to/crossing, and during the Evening session hours price touches this line, an alert is not triggered in the log. Is there a way to have this trigger? Basically these lines are drawn from a higher timeframe RTH chart and my globex chart is a smaller timeframe Thank you |

You would need to "extend" the line so it is valid in the time frame where you want the alert to signal. Refer to the following: Chart Drawing Tools: Line | Ray | Extended Line Configuration For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hey John, The lines I'm using are extended rays and they do extend onto my lower timeframe chart with evening session enabled Thank you |

When you set an alert on a copied drawing, it is actually setting it for the original chart, not the chart on which you added the alert. We should have noted this previously. There is actually a line in the documentation on this: "The Alert Conditions in copied Chart Drawings are not going to be evaluated. They are only evaluated in the source chart." What you can do, however, is to create an Alert that references the line information. This way it will apply in the chart on which you place the alert. Refer to the following: Study/Chart Alerts And Scanning: Referencing Chart Drawings For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
