nasdaq total view vs. us equities consolidated tape

i am a service package 11 member and i activated the nasdaq total view and also the us equities consolidated tape. now that both are activated i am looking to compare data. how do i look up a symbol for each exchange so i can comapre data? for example i like to trade the symbol SPY so how would i look up data for SPY in the nasdaq totalview and how would i find data for us equities consolidated tape? also if its possible i would like to combine the nasdaq totalview and us equities consolidated tape data. how can i get combined data? thank you |

To get data from the NASDAQ TotalView, you need to append -NQTV to the standard symbol (e.g. IBM-NQTV). To get data from the U.S. Equities Consolidated Tape, you need to use the standard symbol alone (e.g. IBM). And to get the combined data, which is the price and volumes from the U.S. Equities Consolidated Tape with the Market Depth data from the NASDAQ TotalView, you need to append _MBO to the standard symbol (e.g. IBM_MBO).
