Hi,

Good day to you. I tried to use CVD with no reset between one session to another but I am getting Volume Delta thats totally inverse correlated to the price. For example (attached a photo as well), The price in russell is going up but the CVD is going down. When the market made the top, the CVD is making the bottom. I tried using CVD in Tradingview (User created code) and the CVD graphs make more sense in Tradingview. Is there something to tweak? Kindly let me know.

Thank you!

We do not know what symbol this is.

Provide an image of the chart or Trade DOM, by following these *exact* instructions:

Set Sierra Chart to a Tick by Tick Data Configuration. Follow the instructions here to do this:
Tick by Tick Data Configuration

Also for futures, the Cumulative Delta Bars-Volume study is 100% accurate in Sierra Chart. This is absolute definitive fact. If you see a difference in another program, the other program is delivering inaccurate data.

Hi,

I provided a more better picture in this message. I checked till 2023 starting and it is for the most part in inverse correlation. I don't know if its giving this inverse relationship because of hedging activities that gets closed at the end of the day or the market is really dumping right now when the prices are going up or something is wrong with my settings.

Kindly let me know!

You do have the correct settings. And the Cumulative Delta Bars you see is valid.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I would like to know one more information and didn't wanna open up a new support board question. I would like to backtest stocks and wanna use sierra charts for it. Is there an add on payment I can do to get stocks in sierra? Also, if there's an option for stocks, would that include penny stocks as well?

Thank you!
