I have been working on trying to create a Moving Average Deviation Indicator similar to the attached file for many hours and have had no success. I have read much of the documentation on creating studies using the Std Deviation study and trying to use "based on" and have not been able to get a result. I am not able to utilize ASCIL as I am new to the environment on trial. I have done a extensive search on the forums and the internet and have come up with nothing. Which is quite surprising. I feel almost ashamed to be asking help with such a simple indicator, but I do like to use it along with some other studies. Any help and/or direction will be greatly appreciated. Try the "Study Subgraphs Subtract/Difference" Study. Add a Short Name for your study. Select Input Values for Input Study 1 and 2. Under the Subgraphs, change "Draw Style" to Bar, change "Width/Size" to 5, change Auto-Coloring to "Based on Slope" or "Based on +/-".

Hello and thank you for your response. Being new to SC is quite overwhelming. I response has elevated my confidence. Since I posted I have continued on with my battle and stumbled into "Study Subgraphs Subtract/Difference" you mention. I have been working with it but have been in need of the directions you have graciously forwarded. Will these additions render a traditional MAD indicator with bars above and below a base line for bull/bear sentiment ? I can't thank you enough. Also, can I ask you if it is correct to submit this response here in this thread ? Not quite sure where I am in the hierarchy of the site structure and do not want to step out of line this early in the SC relationship. I have attached a screenshot of a MAD I've used in the past for references.
