Hello Sierra Charts Support, Thank you for your service to the trading community. Sierra Charts is fantastic software. Really pleased to be a user. I am receiving the above Error message since activating Denali feed. Also I can only get about 18 months of historical data on daily or weekly charts. I have followed the steps from the following link, twice. Still no luck. https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SelfHelp.php&GoTo=991c860f6fe3d6a17e159643783c817b Looking forward to your suggestions. Thank you. |

Are you having gaps in the data, or are you just not getting data as far back as you are wanting?

There does not seem to be any gaps. There is data to 2023-08-21, but cannot go any further back. Just now I managed to load 1200 Days for NQ - so that seemed to work fine. However, I still cannot get any more data for ES or GC. ?? |

OK. Thank you. I have followed these steps for re-downloading futures contract data, three times - nothing - no change. I have no problems with Intraday data - just historical data for - daily bars Not sure what else to do. Suggestions? |

Do you have these charts setup as "Continuous Contract" charts? This is necessary for Daily Historical data as well as Intraday data.

Not necessarily. We now realize what part of the problem is. You cannot reliably create long-term continuous futures contract charts when using Rithmic because the symbols have single-digit years. Install another copy of Sierra Chart: Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time: Step-By-Step Instructions to Install Multiple Copies of Sierra Chart Do not use Rithmic. Use SC Data - All Services which uses proper two digit year symbols. You will only have trouble with single digit years. Do not try to make this work. OK. Yes. I understand using Rithmic has issues but I am under the impression that I am using Denali Feed. Currently, I am reluctant to run two instances because chart drawings do not copy over to a new instance. This means I would need to re-imagine how to setup my trading station. The following seems to imply that I will not need to run two instances of Sierra. Can you please confirm, a) I am indeed using Denali Feed [M], and b) I have misunderstood the following statements. Thank you, Sierra Support The Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed and Denali Exchange Data Feed support full and seamless integration with all supported Trading services: Interactive Brokers Live account Rithmic Live account Teton Order Routing Service CQG Live account This seamless integration means that when you activate one of the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feeds on your Sierra Chart account, the charts and Trade DOM windows will receive this data feed for any symbol that this data feed provides data for, if you have activated the exchange the symbol trades on and if Sierra Chart has defined symbol remapping for that symbol for the particular Trading service you are using. Therefore, when using your Trading account with Sierra Chart, the market data will come from the Sierra Chart provided data feed. |

There is no other possibility but to use a second instance because the symbols with Rithmic use only single-digit years. It does not matter whether you are using the Denali Data Feed or not. And you are using the Denali Data Feed. Please do not struggle, with getting long-term charts when using Rithmic. We are definitely not going to provide any help with that. Alrighty. I see now - it is due to the "symbols" that Rithmic use. Thank you for working through this. I am moving onwards. All the best. |
