Chart Trade Mode On False Error

I am trying to place orders via Control Bar buttons and I get a message in the message log stating that the Chart Trade Mode On setting is not enabled (and the order does not go through), I clear the check for "Chart Trade Mode On", then re-enable the check and am able to place orders. This seems to have started after putting in the custom order buttons. It is random when it happens, but the fix is always to uncheck then re-check it. See screen shot, issue isn't chart specific related but wanted to show how the control bar is configured. |

Every chart has its own Chart Trade Mode setting. So you have to enable it for the charts you want to use those buttons on: Trade Menu: Chart Trade Mode On (Trade menu) There definitely should not be any random behavior with this at all. I set the control bar to float and wonder if it is not being linked anymore to my main chart? I've since updated to the latest version and haven't seen it today, but will keep an eye on it. |

The command from the Control Bar button will go to the active chart window. This will not depend upon the version as this functionality has been well established for years and is stable.
