Hi there I made some trades through SC using Interactive Brokers, and while connected and trading the configured price per tick and commission was ok, and the P&L calculations were correct. Later I was disconnected from the trade service (but connected to SC data feed), and the Trade Activity Log is not recognizing the symbol - and not using any price per tick or commissions in PnL calculations. When I reconnect to IBKR trade service the symbols are translated and the trade log is using correct numbers again. My goal is not to have to connect to launch TWS and log in each time if I just want to review trade activity. I duplicated the MNQ symbol setting to have a new entry that matches the IBKR symbol pattern - and this works for the disconnected trade activity log. Will this cause any adverse issues when going back and forth between Interactive Brokers and then Denali / Sim accounts? Is this the best way to not need to connect to the trading service to review trading activity? |

Although what you did may work for some symbols, it may not work for all. In the end, due to how each service has different requirements, you really have to be connected to that service in order to view the correct information in your Trade Activity Log. Refer to the following: Trade Activity Log: Solving Trade Activity Incorrect Price Formatting and P/L Values What may work best is to export/save the data from the Trade Activity Log so you can review it separate from the connection. Refer to the following: Trade Activity Log: Saving to a Text File For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thank you - I guess it will need to be worked around, however it would good to be able to configure this without tying it to the service, as it is historic data. For instance if I change trade services I wont be able to view the historic trade activity information accurately after that because I wont be able to connect to the service again. Is it only Interactive broker that has this symbol mapping thing going on? |

You can always change to the service, even if you can not connect to it. The symbol settings will be updated and you can view the data in the Trade Activity Log.
