The Alert sounds are in the folder named "AlertSounds" under the main Sierra Chart installation folder. You can use the standard Windows tools to play the sound file, as they are just .wav files. Within Sierra Chart, when you select a Sound File for an Alert, you can then select the button for "Test Sound" to hear it that way as well. You can add your own sound files to the folder and use them in Alerts. Another disappointment With Sierra I expect to find "High of Day" and "Low of Day" sound files that could easily used with the High or Low for Time Period study. But the study does not provide for having alerts for both High and Low conditions! Sierra really needs improvements |

Interestingly, we have a new feature coming out, this coming week utilizing the Windows text-to-speech functionality so you can easily accomplish this. You can set a short phrase with any alert number and then it will be spoken. So you can set "High of Day" and hear that text spoken.
