Dear Sierra Chart Team, I'm new to SC and want to test the capabilities and some automated features I read about. Do I need a broker and what is the smallest SP I need to use if I want to trade NQ? Thx |

It if you just want to test the system, then we recommend one of our "Base" packages. These are specifically intended for this purpose, as you have access to our free Delayed Streaming Data for the CME Group, EUREX, CFE, and U.S. Equities. While on one of these packages you can not make any external connections, nor get any real-time data for the aforementioned exchanges. On the other hand, if you do want to test the trading capabilities with your live trading account, then you would need to be on one of the "Integrated" packages. Refer to the following for the information on the packages: Description of Service Packages and Pricing: Packages If you want to get real-time data, you will also need to be on one of the "Integrated" packages. If your brokerage account is with Interactive Brokers or with a broker that uses Rithmic for their trading, then you can get data from those sources. Otherwise, you would need to get data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed. Refer to the information at the following link: Denali Exchange Data Feed If you are wanting real-time data for the CME Group from us, then you do have to have a live, funded, futures trading account in order to qualify for the CME Group's Non-Professional exchange fees. Refer to the information here: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
