I find it very confounding that the sc.AllowOnlyOneTradePerBar function is actually a limiter on entry orders per bar, not trades. I want to be able to place an order, and if conditions warrant then I want to cancel that order. But if my entry criteria come back during the same bar, then I want to be able to place the entry order again, but only have one TRADE (fill) per bar. The name of this function is a bit misleading, as the functionality is not actually as the name implies. I'm sure this could all be done neatly if I developed directly in ACSIL, but I prefer to use the provided Trading System studies which at first glance look so capable... but then there are these sorts of things which end up stifling the concepts I want to explore. |
