Replaying old futures data

I've been trying unsuccessfully to replay futures charts from 2020 for symbols NQ or MNQ. Is this possible?

I set my symbol to the latest contract, set it to use continuous contract. I set the Load Data Limited Method to Use Date Range and the date range to the first and last day of 2020 and set the Date Range In File From to 2020-01-01.

The chart has the dates for 2020 along the bottom, but there are no bars.

Has anyone else run into this? Any advice?

When you say you have "set my symbol to the latest contract", is that the 2024 H Contract or something else?

Do not change the "Date Range in File", as it has no use with regards to the Continuous Futures Contract charts. It will change on its own, so do not worry about it.

In the "Load Data Limited Method: Date Range" in the "Date Range From" leave that as 2020-01-01, but change the "Date Range To:" to be blank.

Let us know if the data loads up to the current time or not and if not then get us a screenshot of your chart by following these instructions:

John, thank you for your response. Yes it's the 2024 H contract (NQH24_FUT_CME)

I managed to fix it, sort of. It appears my chart is somehow corrupted or has a bad setting somewhere.

I duplicated it, but the new chart still wouldn't replay older data. No bars would appear. I then created a new chart and that seems to have fixed it. I can now run replay on all the old data. I went through the settings and couldn't find a difference in the charts, but no matter, I'm back operational.

Thanks again for your suggestions.

When set to the "Continuous Futures Contract" setting will the Replay mode automatically fill any empty bars if replaying a date that requires more bars than the setting for "Number of Days to Load"? If not, and I'm currently having this problem, how can I fill these empty bars without increasing this amount of data?

You can only run a replay on the data that is loaded in the chart. So if you want to start a replay on July 7, 2023, you would need to have data in the chart from at least that day.
