I want to label a price level, and have that label remain at the price level where placed, AND also remain at the right edge of my chart. In other words, I don't want the label to move left during the trading day. I've looked through the documentation, but cannot find a way to accomplish this. Is it possible? |

We recommend using the Horizontal Line tool and enabling the Labels >> Price option for it. Here is the documentation: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_Tools.html#VerticalandHorizontalLines Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. How can we assign our own descriptive labels to these levels? In my case - date plus Value Area High/Low descriptors for TPO charts.

Right click on the horizontal line you want to label; look down the list of options and select "Modify Text". Then type in what you want and click "OK".

Great. Is it possible to label a ray in the same way? A ray is ideal for this purpose of marking levels, since the level is created at a point in time.

I have found the answer to my last question. Choose a horizontal ray, right click and the "Modify Text" option appears. Thanks

No problem. I use the horizontal ray line quite a lot myself.
