1. I want to use "control + a" keyboard shortcut to select all in a text field. Tried a lot to look in the keyboard shortcuts but was not able to figure out.

2. Can we add a keyboard shortcut to be able to increase and decrease quantity by 1 (like maybe assign shortcut to + - button in the quantity window) ?

Thank you.

1. Control + A is an already defined keyboard shortcut by the Windows Operating System (and most other operating systems) for Select All. So we do not have a keyboard shortcut for this, it should already work for you - unless you have setup another keyboard shortcut within Sierra Chart to that combination.

2. There is not an option within the keyboard shortcuts to increase/decrease quantity by 1. But refer to the following for another option:
Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Changing Trade Order Quantity for Chart with Keyboard Shortcut

Also, you can setup Keyboard Shortcuts to access the 5 quantity buttons on the Trade Window. Refer to the following:

1. Its not working. no shortcuts assigned to control a. Im using apple keyboard. but it should still work, it works everywhere else in my windows just not in sierrachart. Also, control c to copy and control v to paste is working too within SC. so its strange why its just the control a thats not working.

2. Can you'll take it as suggestion to add it in the future updates? its faster and the 5 quantity buttons will not every time give me the quantity i want.

1. We can not help with running Sierra Chart in an emulator. These kind of things occur and it is beyond the scope of support for this (not to mention that we simply do not know).

2. We take all suggestions that people put out there. But we can not say when we will get to any particular item, nor do we respond any further.

I am not using any emulator. It’s a window’s computer. What I meant is I am using a keyboard which is made by apple (Magic keyboard).

But I think I have figured out why the “control a” shortcut is not working to select all in a field and it’s because: by default (after a new installation) in SC the “control a” shortcut is assigned to “save all” and when removed the “control a” shortcut in keyboard shortcuts the “control a” shortcut is assigned to do nothing.

And this is probably the reason why “control c” to copy and “control v” to paste is working fine.

The new windows do not have support for using Ctrl-A to select all.

Our new windows (all of the settings and the quantity selection use these new windows of ours), not Microsoft Windows 11.

I am not sure what you mean. What do you mean by "our new windows"?

We are in the process of changing our windows. The old style is what you see when you add a study to a chart and open the settings for it. These were all built using standard Windows tools.

The settings windows (such as Chart >> Chart Settings) is our new style, where we have developed these completely ourselves, so we have no reliance on Microsoft for these. It is in these new windows of ours that Ctrl-A is not working.

Oh now I understood.

Well, can you guys atleast add a command in the keyboard shortcuts to be able to select all with ctrl a ? or just be able to support ctrl a to select all anyhow.

if ctrl c, ctrl v can work in those windows i hope youll make ctrl a work too. it would be so much convenient.
