Hello,

I cannot place a trade on CL, eventhough I've got the right symbols. I've attached my symbol setting and the message I got when I placed the trade.

Please advise and thank you.

Regards,
S

The error is stating that the last trading date for the symbol is January 15, 2024 which is why you are not able to enter a trade.

We have to admit to being a bit confused, as we just verified on the CME Group website that the date for end of trading is 5 days before the 25th day of the month prior to the contract month. This would mean that it should be the 18th of January, not the 15th. Additionally, there are still trades occurring. We are checking on some things as to why you might have received this message early.

The simplest solution is to change to the H contract and trade that instead.

Yes you will need to rollover to the next contract month.

There is nothing wrong, you need to rollover. If you have a question related to this you need to contact your broker about this.
