Hello and Happy New Year to the SierraChart team! Question: I would like to add a symbol to the Nikkei chart for JNIV. Is there a way to access this data? I did not see it listed in the available symbols, but I'm wondering if a different data feed would work? Thanks! Mike |

We are not able to help with this symbol.

Is it possible to get gold vix as an alternative? Perfusions through a separate data feed?

We can bring in data from IQ Feed. Check with them to see if they have what you need. Refer to the following: DTN IQ Feed Data Service: Setup Instructions For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thank you. I will try this in January. Two questions, if you do not mind: 1. Is it possible to use the Denali or rhythmic data on a chart for the main symbol, but to add another symbol from the IQ feed the input to the ad symbol study? In other words, am I able to use my normal charts, but to add the IQ feed to them, or would all the charts have to be using data from the IQ feed for that particular instance? 2. It looks like the instructions were printed in 2017. I wonder if the limitation of eight days of tick data is still applicable? |

1. If you have the Denali data setup, then you will get the real-time data in your charts from the Denali feed for those exchanges which you have activated. Any other data would then come from IQ Feed. So yes, you would be able to see both in a single chart. But, you would not be able to connect to your trading service through this instance of Sierra Chart (if you are using it trade directly). You would have to have another installation connected to your trading service since we only have the ability to connect to one service at a time. 2. Our documentation for that section has not been updated in awhile, but mostly because we are not aware of the need for any changes. You would have to check with IQ Feed to see if that limitation still exists or not. If not, then let us know and we will update the documentation. Thank you very much! This was extremely helpful. I will run the experiment in January, and I will let you know of any changes in the IQ feed |
